Each American-European broker is an independent operator with their own unique style, personality and way of doing business. But our group has found that we have a lot in common over the years:

As a full-time professional, the American-European broker is able to guide, advise and support each client throughout the entire process of purchasing property, preventing and eliminating potential problems before, during, and after the sale.

The American-European Real Estate Group was established in 1998 and is the oldest and largest network of independent brokers in Costa Rica. Our brokers and their associates come from many countries and have served literally thousands of clients from all over the world as they invest in or relocate to Costa Rica.

The network covers Costa Rica from coast to coast and was formed in response to the informality that exists in the Costa Rica real estate market. Since there is no board of realtors, or real estate licensing required by the government, the founding members believed that a network of reputable brokers operating in the most popular areas would be a great benefit to themselves and to their clients.

Because of the Costa Rica's privacy laws, there is a definite lack of publicly available information on the real estate market. This makes it impossible for one broker to cover the entire country and to have a good handle on the market in every area. The network allows our brokers to assist their clients who want a second home in another area, or to refer clients who aren't finding anything that works for them in the broker's area.

For these reasons, membership in the American-European Real Estate Group is not sold on the open market. Each prospective member must pass a screening committee and meet certain base requirements. You can trust any broker in the group to meet your needs in the most professional way, because our brokers have established that they are reputable and trustworthy.
