The quiz was developed as a result of forum visitors frequently asking whether particular developments in Costa Rica are reputable or not.  Since there are always new developments, and since they are often in areas we don't cover, this checklist is designed to help you evaluate the project yourself.

Right click here, Costa Rica Development Quiz PDF to download the file. Or left click to view it in your browser.  (file size is 453 kb)

It should give you a handle on the questions you should be asking and assist you in determining how risky the investment is, some items covered in the quiz:

- How escrow should work
- The process of subdividing land in Costa Rica, explaining at what point you may close with the developer.
- Infrastructure to look for before closing.

All in all this is a good tool that will help you ask the basic questions of any developer in Costa Rica.  You should still visit the property yourself before buying or putting money down and also seek expert advice on the area you are considering and the process of buying land in Costa Rica.
