The Costa Rican National Women’s Volleyball Team qualified to compete in the World Cup for this sport for the first time ever. They beat Guatemala 3 sets to 0 to punch their ticket for the competition that will be held in Japan next year.
Sisters Angela and Verania Willis were key factors in the success of the team, which also eliminated Jamaica on Saturday by the same score. Other qualifiers were Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
