It looks like there is no reason to vote anymore, since God has chosen Bolívar Serrano, Costa Rican Renovation candidate, as the next President of Costa Rica. In a campaign stop in the Central Park, Serrano is quoted as saying: "Ever since I told Al Día that I spoke to God, the communication has gotten even better. God confirmed that I will win. Moreover, I have already won, because I speak to him. He supports me. That is victory."
When asked how his campaign is going, he seemed very confident, (of course who wouldn’t be?) "I have no idea, I have been travelling in Chile."
In the same park, another candidate was working the crowd. José Manuel Echandi, of PUN (National Unity Party) promised a new transparency law so the finances of public entities are under the eye of the public. Despite Serrano’s almighty vote, Echandí also predicted victory.
