The latest poll results show that just 2 months from election day 31% of Costa Ricans are undecided.  Who are they?

53 % are men
43 % are between 18 and 35 years old
33.9 % are between 36 and 50 years old
49.4 % are middle class
74.5 % are high school or college grads

Of the decided voters, 46.2% support Oscar Arias – making it possible for him to win without a runoff.  Sounding like a winner already, the ex-president stated that "I am grateful and satisfied for support people have given my candidacy.  It is also reflected in the support for my candidates for representatives"

Ottón Solís, of PAC, has 21.5 % and said that he is happy "because Oscar’s support is falling and ours is rising.  We will catch him very soon.  Otto Guevara, of the Libertarian Movement, has 13.1% and is also optimistic.  "We have more support now than before.  We are the party that is growing the most, percentage-wise.  This motivates us to work harder."

"Superamos el porcentaje que teníamos hace algún tiempo. Somos el partido que más crece, porcentualmente hablando. Eso nos motiva a trabajar más. Hoy (anoche) en cadena de radio y televisión, con el tema ‘Unamos las manos’, estamos motivando a Costa Rica a creer en que podemos estar mejor".

Antonio Álvarez, at 8.4 % and Ricardo Toledo at 4.8 % are still in the running, although they have a lot of ground to make up.  While the other candidates barely even register in the numbers.
