Luis Fernando Chanto Carvajal, the person who still owes the now defunt Banco Anglo Costarricense over 3 billion Colones will go to trial on February 7th. Also on this date another deadbeat, Carlos Rodó Ortuño, will face trial for the 1 billion Colones that he owes.

Both are accused of embezzlement, because they received loans in an irregular fashion. Despite the large amount of the loans, no property was asked for as a guarantee, only co-signers.  The companies or persons who co-signed do not have any assets in their names.
