The prestigious National Children’s Hospital in San Jose is currently seeking $25 million to construct a 10-story building to house a treatment center for critically ill patients. The target date for the building’s completion is 2012.
The hospital is renowned as one of the most effective medical centers in Latin America for treatment of youngsters and as a symbol of the Costa Rica’s high regard for their children and the country’s emphasis on medical care for its residents. The new building would give more room for the currently cramped trauma center and contain laboratories and other technical backup.
