PeopleSupport announced this week the opening of a call center, their first in Costa Rica, that will employ 500 people in customer service and management positions. The company employs 5000 people in the Philippines, offering support in English. The center here will be staffed with Spanish speaking operators.
The company gives support to large enterprises, who contract external customer service centers for client service, billing, transcriptions and subtitling television programs.
The company president, Lance Rosenzweig, announced that they will be located in the UltraPark office center and will initially invest 5 million dollars in their operation.
