1,053,345 pre-school, grade school and high school students head back to classes today. A few new innovations are on tap for the 200 days that students and teachers will spend in the classroom.
The Liceo de Costa Rica will offer the International Baccelaureate for the first time. There are 4 new specialties in 20 technical high schools and also some changes in the rules for giving grades.
The Ministry of Education assures the country that everything is in place for the start of classes.
