77% of Vehicle Owners Procrastinators
True to form, Ticos are putting of today what they can do mañana, since only 23% of vehicle owners have paid their "Marchamo" to date. The annual vehicle tax and obligatory insurance has been collected since November, but many vehicles lack an up to date technical inspection so they cannot pay the "Marchamo". The 792,000 vehicles that must pay have until December 31st to do so without incurring in late fees.
