As you can probably tell by the infrequent entries to my blog, not much happens here. I always seem to be busy, but life isn’t full of interesting and exciting activities. That’s good. Something is always going on, but, slowly. My residency has been approved, and soon I will have an appointment with a government representative to receive my cedular, or residency card and number. My corporation papers have been completed. Things do happen, but they take time. Paperwork seems to take a long time in any country, and when lawyers are involved, add six months. I went to Puntarenas to pick up the corporation papers on Monday, so I decided to try to get some money from the bank, as money from the ATM doesn’t count toward my residency requirements, and pay my internet bill. I usually go to the bank in Miramar because it is much quicker. It is a smaller town, with lot’s of parking, and no crowds, but I was going to Puntarenas anyway, and would likely have to wait for Marvin to finish shopping. I waited in line at the bank for forty minutes, only to discover that a copy of my passport wasn’t enough to get money, I needed the original. When I tried to pay my internet bill, the system for that was down. So I got the money I needed from the bank machine, did some shopping, and went with Marvin for a chinese lunch, with beer. My corporation papers weren’t ready yet, so we came home, stopping for a couple on the way because it is a long trip and we got thirsty.

When we got to Judas, I paid my electrical bill at one store, and went to the other store to pay my phone bill. The computer there was down, and I couldn’t pay that either. Yesterday, Zaida’s niece asked for a ride to Miramar to pick up her TV which had been repaired. I had to get Raz some food and pay my internet bill. .On the way through Judas, I paid my phone bill. My corporation papers are definitely ready now, and in the hands of my friend Claude, so, I will go to Puntarenas another day for those. Anyway the point is everything takes time. I find the best way to handle this problem is to relax, and enjoy the ride. At least I don’t have anything important to do. I get a little work done every day, visit with the neighbours who drop by, try to improve my Spanish, and watch a little TV. The Simpson’s and Walker Texas Ranger are on every week night. I figure my pronunciation should improve with a bit of TV. The bug level has dropped this week, and the nights are cooler. Sleeping has been comfortable. All is well.
